A guide for Owners and designers is provided which assesses the performance of the various types of stainless steel reinforcement and matches the appropriate rebar material to the service environment. The applications include environments that are mainly defined by a need for :
Corrosion resistance
Capability to perform in extreme temperatures
Where low magnetic permeability is required
The service environment characterized as exposure to corrosion is the main application, followed to a lesser extent by conditions of extreme temperature variations, and the need for low magnetic permeability.
